SPANIARDS SENRA-RAMOS (HYUNDAI I20 COUPE’ WRC PLUS) WIN THE “SPRINT LEGEND RACE”

Rallylegend opened with a spectacular”Sprint Legend,” which saw the Spanish crew take the lead. Today, the “Lancia Delta S4 Celebration” and “30th McRae Celebration” took center stage, along with the “Eberhard Award” to Simone Faggioli.

Spectacular, adrenaline-filled, and packed with fans. The nighttime “SprintLegend Race” opened the 23rd edition of Rallylegend on Thursday evening. On the 2.7-kilometer roundabout special stage, the Spanish crew of Victor Senra Carreira and Paula Ramos Torrente set the fastest time, beating the sister car driven by Luca Pedersoli and Anna Tomasi by 1.5 seconds. Another WRC, a car that, as expected, monopolized the top spot in the standings, rounded out the podium with Swiss drivers Mirko Puricelli and Nicola Medici (Citroen DS3 WRC).

This was the first successful field test of the impressive safety work implemented at Rallylegend, an advanced method supported by high-level technology and highly qualified personnel. But it’s the rally itself that fuels the expectations of the tens of thousands of spectators and enthusiasts who have already flocked to San Marino from around the world. The expectancy will end early this evening, Friday, October 3rd, with the start of Day 1 of Rallylegend.

Meanwhile, the Rallylegend Village, which has been packed and bustling with activity, has hosted events, talk shows, and autograph sessions throughout the day with the many champions in attendance, surrounded by the affection of thousands of fans.

RALLYLEGEND CELEBRATES THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF COLIN MC RAE’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Rallylegend loves Colin McRae, the Scottish champion who was very close to participating in the San Marino event, before his fatal helicopter crash. A tragedy that made an indissoluble and enduring bond of affection that has now extended to the McRae family. “Colin McRae WRC 1995” is the initiative that Rallylegend dedicates to Colin, on the thirtieth anniversary of his world title win. And Carlo Boroli is once again the supporter and organizer with his “Best Impreza” project. The talk show featured Alister McRae, Colin’s brother, who will be competing in a Subaru Impreza 555 among the Legend Stars, Nando Parrado, the protagonist of the “Miracle of the Andes,” Gustavo Trelles, Simon Jean Joseph, and Miki Biasion. Rally entrants in Group A Imprezas and Legacy will compete in the “McRae Subaru Group A Rally Trophy.” Among them, keep an eye on champions Gustavo Trelles and Simon Jean Joseph, but the hunt will be on for the most coveted prize: a pair of Colin McRae’s racing shoes, donated by his family and displayed in a real painting, a trophy that every driver would love to have in their home.
