LUCA PEDERSOLI LEADS WRC, MIKLOS KAZAR TOPS CLASSIC, ENRICO ERCOLANI VOLTA AHEAD IN HISTORIC: THE FIRST RALLYLEGEND LEADERS AFTER DAY 1 “NIGHT STAGE”
At the end of Day 1 of Rallylegend, Italy, Hungary, and the Republic of San Marino lead the three event standings. In the Rally Village, the “Alex Fiorio Tribute” and “Group B Tribute” opened the day’s events ahead of the start of Day 2.

With intermittent rain adding complexity to Friday’s opening night stage, Luca Pedersoli and Anna Tomasi built upon their victory in the “Sprint Legend Race,” placing their Hyundai i20 N Rally1 at the top of the WRC standings. Just over fifteen seconds behind the leader, fast official Lancia Corse HF driver Nikolay Gryazin, co-driven by Aleksandrov, brought his Ypsilon HF Integrale Rally2 into second place, with the podium completed by San Marino’s Danilo Tomassini, alongside Spadoni, in a Skoda Fabia Evo.

The Classic category sports a Hungarian flag at the top following Day 1. Miklos Kazar, with Tamas Begala reading the notes in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9, managed to edge out Uruguayan champion Gustavo Trelles (co-driven by Garcia in a stunning Subaru Impreza 555) and Swiss driver “Il Valli” (alongside Cirillo in a BMW M3).

The San Marino flag flies proudly atop the Historic class, where Enrico Ercolani Volta and Italian co-driver Daniele Conti lead in a BMW 320 E21. They are under intense pressure, just a tenth of a second ahead of the all-Sammarinese crew of Nicola Bonfè and Massimo Bizzocchi in a Ford Escort RS. Further back in third place sits Simone Brusori, with Tridici on the pacenotes, behind the wheel of a Porsche 911.

A MOVING TRIBUTE TO ALEX FIORIO AT THE RALLY VILLAGE

Rallylegend paid homage to the late, great champion Alex Fiorio with a special tribute hosted by Claudia Peroni at the Rally Village.

Set against the backdrop of some of the most iconic cars of his career — including the Lancia Delta 4WD, Fiat Uno Turbo, BMW 318, and Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart — close friends and legendary figures took to the stage to share their memories, including Gigi Pirollo, Miki Biasion, Andrea Aghini, and Piero Liatti. A heartfelt commemoration at this edition of Rallylegend for a champion who wrote indelible pages in the history of Italian rallying.

GROUP B CELEBRATED 40 YEARS AFTER THE “STOP”

Rallylegend commemorated the 40th anniversary of the end of Group B — the category that wrote some of the most legendary chapters in rally history between 1982 and 1986 — with a parade of iconic original cars starting from the Rally Village toward “The Legend” circuit. Among the drivers taking part was 1984 World Rally Champion Stig Blomqvist behind the wheel of an Audi Sport Quattro S1 E1, alongside a lineup featuring the Lancia Delta S4, Ford RS200, Audi Sport Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, and Lancia Rally 037.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11: GRAND FINALE WITH THE MEMORIAL BETTEGA

The final day of competitive action at Rallylegend will see crews tackle Day 3 of the rally. High anticipation surrounds the return of the Memorial Bettega, the legendary head-to-head duel from Area 48 of the iconic Bologna Motor Show, recreated along “The Legend” stage route.

The official finish and prize-giving ceremony at the Rally Village will bring a spectacular close to this 23rd edition of Rallylegend.
