Rallylegend 2026 to Pedersoli, Valli and Bonfè

The competitive part of Rallylegend ends with the national anthems of Italy, Switzerland and the Republic of San Marino
RALLYLEGEND 2026 GOES TO PEDERSOLI AMONG THE WRC, “IL VALLI” AMONG THE CLASSICS, BONFÈ AMONG THE HISTORICS. GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE MEMORIAL BETTEGA
The competitive part of Rallylegend ends with the national anthems of Italy, Switzerland and the Republic of San Marino. The Memorial Bettega closes Rallylegend number 24: Sordo (WRX), Gryazin (Rally2), Aghini (Group A) and Rotter (Group B) are the winners.

With the running of the last two stages on Sunday, which preceded the eagerly awaited Memorial Bettega, the competitive part of a Rallylegend 2026 of great quality has come to an end.

Dominating the WRC category, which also includes other types of cars, after the three legs of the race, is once again the Italian ace Luca Pedersoli, well assisted, as always, by Anna Tomasi, in the Hyundai i20 N Rally1, a car they only “got to know” shortly before the start. The very fast Lancia Corse HF official driver Nikolay Gryazin, with his faithful Aleksandrov on the pace notes, finishes second, with the less powerful Ypsilon HF Integrale Rally2. “I would have liked a Rallylegend with a bit of gravel…” Gryazin joked at the end. A valuable third place for San Marinese Danilo Tomassini, alongside Spadoni, who took the not-so-recent Skoda Fabia Rally2 in Evo version onto the podium.

A great battle among the Classics, where in the end Swiss “Il Valli” prevailed, alongside Cirillo in a BMW M3, finishing just ahead of Uruguayan champion Gustavo Trelles, an ever-present name at Rallylegend, this time with Garcia on the pace notes, in the splendid Subaru Impreza 555, with which he had finished in the lead at the end of Leg 2. Further back, but happy with third place, Giuseppe Messori and Antonella Caputo, in their Mitsubishi Lancer EvoIII.

A fine fight for the lead among the Historics which, for the final victory, raises the white-and-blue banner of the Republic of San Marino thanks to Nicola Bonfè and Massimo Bizzocchi, in a Ford Escort RS. In second place, Italian Simone Brusori, with Tridici on the pace notes, in a Porsche 911, the same car with which he won on these roads in the past. The crew in third place overall is Italian-San Marinese, made up of Enrico Ercolani Volta, alongside Daniele Conti, in a BMW 320 E21. Emotion for the fourth place of the Ercolani-Roggia duo: Andrea, son of San Marinese champion Massimo, and Matteo, son of the unforgettable Loris, brought their Ford Escort RS to fourth place overall.

MEMORIAL BETTEGA: THE LEGEND LIVES AGAIN!

It was one of the most eagerly awaited moments of Rallylegend 2026 and it truly was like reliving the atmosphere, the sounds and the challenges of the legendary Area 48 of the Bologna Motor Show. With many of those champions, led by Andrea Navarra, the “king” of Area 48 with his seven victories, who helped make the event dedicated to Attilio Bettega unforgettable. Adrenaline was sky-high at the start of the “Rallylegend version” of the Memorial Bettega, when, after the customary photos with Markku Alén and Miki Biasion, an emotional Alessandro Bettega, son of Attilio, got behind the wheel of a Lancia 037 in Martini Racing colours and completed a few laps of the race course, escorted by the two champions in two splendid Lancia Delta S4, also in white-red-blue livery.

In the decisive “world championship” showdown among the WRX cars, Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) got the better of Martins Sesks (Ford Puma Rally1).

Among the Rally2 cars, Nikolay Gryazin (Lancia Ypsilon HF Integrale) imposed his law over Tony Cairoli (Skoda Fabia RS).

In the contest among the Group A cars, in the final Andrea Aghini (Lancia Delta 16V) beat Piero Liatti (Subaru Impreza).

Among the Group B cars, a final duel between Audi Quattro S1s, won by Florian Rotter, who defeated Giorgio Mela, with the Pikes Peak version.

PAOLO VALLI
Rallylegend Event manager

“I would describe Rallylegend 2026 as an edition of renewal, very demanding, which required a truly huge effort but brought great satisfaction, with a robust turnout of spectators who were able to enjoy a real sporting show. The event, staged in full synergy between organisers and Institutions, seems to me to have been appreciated by spectators and crews, so much so that for me it was one of the highest quality editions of Rallylegend.”

VITO PIARULLI
Rallylegend Event manager

“It was an orderly edition, as we had hoped, sportingly rich, with many fans who were able to live a fulfilling Rallylegend. The investment in safety bore excellent fruit. The quality of the content, of the cars present and of the many champions who were with us was also high. A Rallylegend with important novelties, with the debut of the Memorial Bettega: in the end a show that I believe was greatly appreciated, with a few aspects to be improved.”
