ADDITIONAL BIG NAMES AT RALLYLEGEND. AND THE “SEVENTIES” SPECIAL EVENT
Many big names in the world of motorsport – past and present and from across the disciplines – are in contact with the organisers as arrangements are made for a Rallylegend that is sure to excite and entertain its spectators once more.
One giant who has already confirmed his attendance is German Armin Schwarz, official World Rally driver with Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford, Skoda and Hyundai in the 90s, who will take the wheel of a Skoda Octavia WRC. He will be joined by son Fabio Schwarz, 20, who has shown talent in European Championship races and in the national Central European Rally series, and who will be driving a Hyundai Accent WRC at Rallylegend.
As expected, the “McRae Subaru Group A Rally Trophy” is set to be a major highlight – an exciting race within the race, open exclusively to Subaru Impreza and Legacy cars with strict Group A specification, with special prizes offered by Pirelli and Sparco. In addition to the already announced attendance of Alister McRae, talented brother of the much-loved Colin, the lineup also includes Simon Jean Joseph, the French driver from Martinique who was two-time European Rally Champion in 2004 and 2007 and has twenty-six World Rally Championship appearances driving for Ford and Subaru to his name, and Uruguayan Gustavo Trelles, four-time Production World Rally Champion from 1996 to 1999 and a longtime Rallylegend favorite.
Belgian driver Patrick Snijers, European Rally champion in 1994, will again tackle the special stages in the Republic of San Marino at the wheel of a spectacular Ford Sierra Cosworth.
“SEVENTIES”, THE SPECIAL EVENT WITH THE ‘SIRENS’ OF THE SEVENTIES
“Seventies”: Lancia Fulvia HF, Fiat 131 Abarth, Lancia Stratos, Alpine Renault A110, Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV, Fiat Ritmo and other iconic vehicles that were rallying stars of the Seventies. Fifteen original and very select four-wheel ‘sirens’ in all, which will stand proud in Rally Village over the four days of Rallylegend and take to the track, already from Thursday, in the Sprint Legend Race and then, on Saturday and Sunday, in the “Seventies Parade”, around the spectacular “The Legend” stage.
A host of well-known drivers from the era including Tony Fassina, Adartico Vudafieri and Maurizio Verini will take the wheel.
